Roof Fabricator

- We are looking for practical and reliable people to join our Sheerline Bespoke team based at Nether Heage near Belper. Previous experience an advantage but not essential. What is more important to us is a hardworking, positive attitude, a desire to learn and an understanding of the importance of consistency and quality.

This is a great opportunity to work manufacturing the UK's latest, most innovative aluminium products. Working as part of a close-knit team, but with the reassurance and security that comes from working within a larger organisation.

This role is full time, Monday to Friday, 9 hour shifts.

As the successful applicant you will be responsible for:

Manufacture of roof systems such as lanterns, glass roofs and flat timber roofs Reading and understanding of production paperwork Use of power tools such as drills during the manufacturing process Accurate completion of paperwork Bench building / flat packing of roofing profiles to specification Occasional building of roofs on shopfloor to test for accuracy. Ensure smooth and efficient throughput Adhere to health and safety procedures within the working environment
Any other duties as and when required or subject to changes of the job role

Ability to work under your own supervision and adhere to deadlines for production Experience an advantage but not necessary as full training will be provided

Sheerline Bespoke is part of Garner Aluminium Extrusions Ltd, which is privately-owned by Roger Hartshorn, a local entrepreneur with a proven track record of creating and growing several major extrusion and window systems companies. Garner Aluminium Extrusions (Garnalex), formed in 2018, and has benefited from an initial investment of 15m, including a state-of-the-art aluminium extrusion press; Sheerline, offering a range of innovative aluminium windows and door systems (produced by Garnalex) and a trade extrusion and injection moulding business, which also manufactures the entire range of plastic components for Sheerline.

After 5 years of investment and development, trade has taken off, along with the launch of our own range of products. We currently employ 150 staff at our manufacturing site, Firs Work in Heage. Sheerline Fabrications is affiliated to these businesses but operates independently, producing aluminium windows, doors and roof lanterns for testing, and to meet local demand.
