Welder/Fabricator Position - Fenix Engineering Ltd.

About the Role:

We are seeking a versatile Welder/Fabricator to join our expanding engineering team. This role encompasses all aspects of engineering, including site work, maintenance, and workshop duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Weld and fabricate a diverse range of light, medium, and heavy industrial products. Undertake all engineering tasks both on-site and within the workshop. Take precise measurements and interpret fabrication drawings to ensure products meet exact specifications. Set up and maintain machinery/tools such as press brake, guillotine, lathe, drills, etc. Adhere to and understand all health and safety procedures. Handle various customer requests, including cladding, painting, breakdowns, clearances, roof work, and more.

Requirements:

Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding to a high standard, particularly with stainless and carbon steel. Must be a competent TIG welder. Knowledge of pipe work and fitting is advantageous. Honest, hardworking, and reliable with a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required. FLT (Forklift Truck) and MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) licenses are desirable but not essential. Must be multi-skilled and capable of handling diverse tasks as per customer requirements. Weld test will be required

What We Offer:

Competitive rates of pay. Overtime available. Standard 39.5-hour work week. 20 days holiday, increasing by 1 day per year. Government pension scheme. 3 days sick pay after the first year.
