We are seeking a skilled flexible Roofer to join our Aberdeen team, The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work at heights safely. The Roofer will collaborate with other tradespeople and follow schematics to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofing systems including flat roofs, pitched roofs, and shingles.
Interpret and work from schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
Conduct inspections to assess roof conditions and identify necessary repairs.
Perform masonry work as needed for roof installations or repairs.
Build and fabricate roofing structures using appropriate materials and techniques.
Operate power tools safely and effectively in the execution of roofing tasks.
Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion.
Carry out heavy lifting as required during the installation or removal of roofing materials.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
Proficient in using power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
Strong understanding of roofing systems and materials.
Ability to plumb structures accurately during installations.
Experience in masonry is advantageous but not essential.
Capable of building, fabricating, and welding components as needed for roofing projects.
Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
