Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on various roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Roofer will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs, contributing to the overall integrity and durability of structures.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, tiles, and metal. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks. Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications. Ensure roofs are plumb and properly aligned during installation. Conduct inspections of existing roofs to identify issues or necessary repairs. Fabricate components as needed for roofing systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50kg) as part of daily tasks. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing work. Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous. Strong understanding of how to read schematics and blueprints. Capable of welding or fabricating components as necessary for specific projects. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
