Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship. Applicants should have a strong understanding of roofing principles and safety standards, with experience in related trades being advantageous. All positions are paid, including internships, and provide valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry.

Duties

Installing new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques Repairing or replacing damaged or worn roofing components Reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively Fabricating roofing components as needed through welding, carpentry, or masonry skills Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and building codes Assisting with heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow Performing maintenance tasks on existing roofs to extend their lifespan Collaborating with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times

Skills

Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings Experience with welding, fabrication, and carpentry techniques Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised roofing equipment Knowledge of construction processes related to roofing, masonry, plumbing, and general building practices Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong understanding of safety standards relevant to roofing work Good organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions Excellent teamwork and communication skills
