Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing systems, safety protocols, and various construction techniques. The ideal applicant will possess relevant experience in roofing and related trades, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship in a safe manner.

Duties

Install new roofs using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials according to project requirements. Repair or replace damaged roofing components, ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing. Operate welding equipment where necessary for metal roofing or flashing installations. Utilise fabrication skills to cut, shape, and assemble roofing materials on-site. Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, metal sheets, and insulation components safely. Conduct masonry work related to roof structures when required. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes throughout each project.

Experience

Proven experience in roofing Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings is advantageous. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques is essential. Knowledge of roofing materials including shingles, tiles, metal sheets, and waterproof membranes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights comfortably. Prior experience working with masonry or plumbing systems related to roofing is a plus. Applicants should be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to deliver durable roofing solutions efficiently and effectively.
