We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. Responsibilities
Installing new roofs using appropriate materials such as tiles, shingles, or metal sheets in accordance with project specifications.
Repairing or replacing damaged roofing components to ensure durability and safety.
Interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute roofing projects.
Operating power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
Assisting with carpentry tasks related to roof structures and supports.
Performing heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment to facilitate installation or repairs.
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaborating with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Conducting inspections of completed work to verify adherence to specifications and safety standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in roofing, construction, or related trades such as masonry, plumbing, or carpentry.
Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and apply them effectively on-site.
Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights over extended periods.
Familiarity with health and safety practices specific to construction environments.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in executing complex tasks.
