Duties

Install, repair, and replace various roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal roofs, flat roofs, and specialty materials with precision and attention to detail Operate hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and caulking guns as well as power tools including drills, saws, and nail guns to complete roofing tasks efficiently Conduct construction estimating for roofing projects by assessing materials needed and project scope Prepare roofing surfaces by framing with metal studs or wood, applying insulation, or performing masonry work when necessary Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, or concrete forms safely and effectively on-site Utilize fabrication skills for custom metal flashing or trim carpentry to ensure seamless finishing details Follow schematics and safety protocols diligently while working at heights or on scaffolding to maintain a safe work environment Assist in restoration or remodeling projects that involve roofing components alongside other trades like plumbing or masonry when required

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques essential for roofing installation and repair Solid understanding of roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, flat roofs, stucco applications, and tile laying Knowledge of construction site procedures with the ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions precisely Skilled in fabrication techniques such as metal stud framing or custom flashing fabrication for specialized roof features Experience with masonry, concrete forming, welding, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, plumbing integration, and tile installation is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout demanding workdays Familiarity with restoration projects involving multiple trades including maintenance person experience for general repairs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.50-17.00 per hour
