Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety standards, and the ability to work at heights. The ideal applicant will have experience and be committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Duties

Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and power tools Install new roofs or repair existing roofing systems in accordance with project specifications and safety guidelines Work with schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise installation Utilise welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other construction skills as needed for specialised roofing projects Operate heavy lifting equipment safely to move materials on-site Use welding equipment for metal roofing components where applicable Apply waterproofing and sealing techniques to ensure durability of roofing systems Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing, construction, or related trades Proficiency with schematics, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques Knowledge of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and general construction practices is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights comfortably Strong understanding of safety protocols related to roofing work Good organisational skills with attention to detail Physical fitness suitable for demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions Relevant certifications or licences in roofing or construction trades are preferred but not essential Must be able to pass a

background check
