Roofer
Job Description
Dudley Council is looking for a qualified roofer to work across Dudley areas,
Ideal candidate has to be sufficiently competent to carry out a wide range of general roofing works to various Council sites, including domestic dwellings and Sheltered Housing Schemes. As a minimum the post holder must to able to undertake the following activities to a consistently satisfactory standard;
Roofing repairs, e.g. replacing slipped tiles
Re-pointing of ridge/hip tiles and chimneys
Brickwork, e.g. demolishing and rebuilding of chimneys, forming fire openings and fireplaces/hearths
Working within loft spaces, remedy /make safe leaks, re-point torching etc..
Installation or renewal of lead flashing
Installation of flat roofing systems, including built-up felt roofing and Liquid Plastic Products (or similar)
General roofing works appropriate to NVQ Level 2.
Safe working at height qualification
Undertake inspections of scaffold systems and issue Permits to Work as required

Working Hours:
8:00-16:00 Mon-FriDriving License is essential for this role.
