We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential properties.

Duties

Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including tiles and slates and flat roofing systems. Repair and replace damaged roofs and roofing components. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently. Perform heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in fabrication tasks as needed for custom roofing solutions. Conduct basic plumbing or masonry work related to roofing projects when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential. Familiarity with schematics and the ability to read blueprints is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is an advantage. Strong skills in carpentry are beneficial for structural work associated with roofing. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) regularly throughout the day. A commitment to safety practices and the ability to work at heights is required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
