Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The ideal applicant will have experience with various tools and materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.

Duties

Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques, including felt, tiles, slates, or metal sheets Repair or replace damaged roofing components to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to execute roofing projects accurately Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently Assist with the construction of roof structures, including carpentry and masonry work as needed Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations Perform heavy lifting of materials such as tiles, sheets, or insulation materials safely and effectively Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes while maintaining safety protocols

Experience

Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or maintenance is essential Knowledge of schematics, welding techniques, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication is advantageous Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment in construction environments Experience working with construction plans and technical drawings preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely is required Previous exposure to working with roofing materials such as tiles, metal sheets, felt or slates is desirable
Required Experience

Proven experience with flat roofing systems: Torch?on mineral felt systems Single ply membrane systems Liquid roofing systems Skilled in pitched roofing systems: Slate roofing Tile roofing Knowledge of commercial roofing systems: Metal roofing systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 60 per week
