Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and possess a strong understanding of various roofing materials and techniques. This role involves working at heights, performing installations, repairs, and maintenance of roofs, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofs, including flat and pitched roofs. Work with different roofing materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks. Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications. Perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to roofing tasks. Experience in masonry and carpentry is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Strong understanding of schematics for building and fabricating roof structures. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 and above in slating and tiling Manual handling Driving Licence CSCS Asbestos Awareness
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 weeks

Pay: 120.00-150.00 per day
