Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team, responsible for the installation of roofs on residential buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing systems and techniques, along with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. A company van and fuel card will be provided. This is a full time employed position. You will be working in a team of 3 with another roofer and labourer.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems using various materials. Conduct inspections to assess roof conditions and identify necessary repairs. Repair or replace damaged roofing materials to ensure structural integrity. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to execute roofing projects accurately. Perform heavy lifting as required while working on roofs at various heights. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools Familiarity with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication techniques is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail when interpreting schematics. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork on site. A commitment to safety practices within the workplace is crucial.
