Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofing/ Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and general maintenance tasks and be comfortable working with various tools and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining facilities, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including roofing and general maintenance repairs. Assist in the construction and repair of structures such as roofs and walls. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks. Fabricate parts as needed for repairs or installations based on schematics. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues that require attention. Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing and maintenance or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read and interpret schematics for various systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. A proactive attitude towards safety and maintenance best practices.
