Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in roofing and carpentry, with the ability to interpret schematics and perform various construction tasks. This role requires physical stamina, as heavy lifting is a common aspect of the job. The Roofer will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring that all work meets safety standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

Construct and repair roofs using various materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal. Interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks. Fabricate roofing components as needed to meet design specifications. Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvre materials safely on-site. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately. Experience in carpentry is advantageous. Familiarity with masonry techniques is a plus. Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as required by the job. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols at all times.
