Responsibilities

Install new roofs using a variety of roofing materials in accordance with project specifications and safety guidelines Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components efficiently and accurately Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure correct installation procedures Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time and within budget Assist with heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency on site Perform carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other related tasks as required for specialised roofing projects Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing is preferred Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices for working at heights Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during installation or repair tasks Previous experience working with roofing materials such as shingles, metal sheets, membranes or tiles is advantageous Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to different project requirements
