Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various types of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The ideal applicant will possess experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality workmanship in a timely manner. Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently Fabricate roofing components as needed, including cutting and shaping materials Perform welding and other fabrication tasks to reinforce roofing structures when required Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or roofs while adhering to safety standards Assist with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other related tasks as necessary during projects Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry or masonry Knowledge of schematics, welding, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights for extended periods Familiarity with safety procedures related to roofing work including working at heights and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Basic understanding of plumbing or masonry is advantageous but not essential Strong organisational skills with attention
