Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and possess a strong understanding of building structures. This role involves working with various materials and tools to ensure roofs are installed, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be comfortable with heavy lifting and have the ability to read schematics for effective roof construction.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal. Fabricate roofing components as needed to ensure proper fit and function. Work with power tools to cut, shape, and install roofing materials. Interpret schematics to accurately build roofs according to specifications. Perform masonry work as required for roof installations or repairs. Ensure safety protocols are followed while working at heights. Conduct inspections of existing roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, when required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using power tools and equipment safely and effectively. Ability to fabricate roofing materials and components as needed. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to roofing work. Capability of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
