We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively using various tools and techniques. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety while delivering high-quality roofing solutions.
Duties
Install, repair, and maintain roofs on residential and commercial buildings.
Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of roofing systems.
Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and installing roofing materials.
Perform welding tasks as necessary for metal roofing installations.
Engage in carpentry work related to roof framing and structural support.
Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, and insulation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
Assist with masonry work as required for chimney or wall repairs associated with roofing tasks.
Follow safety protocols and regulations while working at heights or in hazardous conditions.
Experience
Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential.
Familiarity with fabrication techniques is advantageous.
Knowledge of plumbing principles may be beneficial for integrated roofing systems.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics is required.
