Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team on a Freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating proficiency with various tools and techniques. This role involves working on diverse roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. A commitment to delivering excellent results while collaborating with other trades is essential.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and replace roofs on residential and commercial buildings. Inspect and assess the condition of existing roofs, identifying potential problems or leaks. Measure and cut roofing materials to fit the specified dimensions. Ensure proper installation of roofing systems according to building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications. Maintain and clean roofing tools and equipment. Collaborate with other construction team members to complete roofing projects on time. Safely operate ladders, scaffolds, and roofing tools to reach heights. Remove old roofing materials and dispose of them properly. Maintain clear communication with project managers and clients regarding project progress, timelines, and issues. Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

Requirements

Proven experience as a roofer. Knowledge of different roofing systems and materials (e.g., slates, tiles, flat roofing systems). Ability to work at heights and perform physical labour in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and own vehicle Strong communication skills. CSCS Card required but if you do not currently hold one, we will assist with the costs for training and application.
Pay will be based on experience and be discussed during a telephone interview.
