We are looking for a skilled Roofer to join our friendly roofing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pitched and flat roofing systems and be capable of working at heights. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with our existing team members. The candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on domestic properties within Worcestershire and Warwickshire. All work is carried out with scaffolding, with a tile bumper and power tools always provided for strip and recovers.
Duties
Installing roofing systems according to specifications, the ability to work out roofing gauges and the use of raddle/chalk lines.
Laying slate and tile to a high standard.
Performing repairs on existing roofs, ensuring they are watertight and structurally sound.
Installation of UPVC facia, soffit and guttering
Fabricating lead as needed, utilizing hand tools and power tools as required. ( back gutters are pre ordered) ability to make and install lead stepped and cover flashings
The installation of EDPM rubber roofs (training and qualification provided for the right person)
Installing dry verge and ridge systems
Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working at heights and using heavy lifting equipment. (toolbox talks given)
Skills
Slate & Tile knowledge
Experience in brickwork and pointing is advantageous.
Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to roofing tasks.
Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
Lead welding skills are a plus, but not essential
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Good time keeping and attendance is essential.
