We are seeking a conscientious and enthusiastic Mobile Roofing Operative with a can-do attitude and flexible approach. They must have relevant qualifications and broad maintenance experience in their core trades with additional experience and capability to complete tasks outside their core competency.
The successful person will carry out a mobile role to cover our contracts in Horsham, Woking & Windsor however, there may be the requirement to cover our contracts based in Wider Hampshire Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth & the Isle of Wight.
It is a further requirement that mobile operatives must pass an Enhanced DBS check and SC Clearance.
In this role, you will carry out A wide variety of domestic and commercial roofing repairs for local authorities, education providers, commercial buildings, lecture theatres, and offices and along with works on listed buildings. The work will include pitched and flat roofing with different materials used such as felt, slate, tile etc. There will also be a requirement to support with guttering and some other working at height jobs as well as have a good level of groundworks experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect roof defects to determine the best repair solution and methods.
Repair and maintain flat, tiled, and slated roofs.
Undertake minor carpentry work as necessary in association with roofing work.
Carry out minor lead or metal flashing works in association with roofing work.
Carry out minor repointing and brickwork associated with roofing work.
Carry out minor groundworks such as brickwork, paving etc
o Provide excellent service to clients and maintain a good customer relationship as a priority o Always represent Mountjoy and ensure that customers are completely satisfied.
Comply with HSG33 - Health & Safety in Roof Work
Support all trades to deliver a professional and safe maintenance and repairs service.
Respond swiftly to all emergency situations and resolve them efficiently.
Keep the customer up to date with progress and plans.
Undertake all work efficiently and cost effectively, minimising non-productive time wherever possible and reporting any difficulties encountered to the Service Manager and /or Supervisor.
Apply applicable Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed.
Maintain tools, plant, and equipment in a safe, clean, and workable condition.
Maintain accurate records of works undertaken with photographic evidence as necessary.
Ask your supervisor for assistance when required.
Be willing to work out of hours, if required, to the requirements of the client.
To work within the Mountjoy group and assist other contracts as directed by the Contract Manager as and when the business dictates.
Always maintain your company vehicle in a clean and tidy condition and report any defects to your supervisor in a timely manner.
Be an inclusive part of the team and be part of an on-call rota (Out of Hours)

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
A minimum NVQ Level 2 in Roofing Occupations or equivalent
PASMA / TETRA trained (advantageous)
Full current driving licence.
An Enhanced DBS check and Security Clearance is required before commencing of role

* Over 3 years trade experience in the building maintenance industry
