We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, ensuring that all roofing projects are completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems.
Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites.
Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or necessary repairs.
Carry out fabrication tasks as needed for custom roofing solutions.
Apply carpentry skills for structural support and installation of roofing components.
Assist with plumbing and masonry tasks related to roofing projects when necessary.
Requirements
Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of schematics and construction plans.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
Knowledge of carpentry principles and practices is an advantage.
Familiarity with plumbing and masonry techniques is beneficial but not essential.
A commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship is required.

The role will also involve participation in our call-out rota, responding to urgent works as required.
We offer a company van, a fuel card, 20 days' annual holiday plus bank holidays, and the opportunity to work within a supportive and professional team, delivering quality workmanship across the hospitality and commercial sectors.
On the very few occasions where it is required working away may be needed.
