We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering high-quality roofing solutions while adhering to project deadlines and safety standards.
Duties
Install new roofs using various materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and membranes.
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure waterproofing and structural integrity.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to execute roofing projects accurately.
Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery efficiently and safely.
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment to facilitate installation processes.
Assist with carpentry tasks related to roof framing and support structures.
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Collaborate with team members on site to complete projects within specified timeframes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades.
Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or masonry work are advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently at heights.
Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures.
Physical fitness to undertake demanding manual tasks over extended periods.
Experience working with roofing materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, or membranes is preferred.
