We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively in various weather conditions. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow safety protocols while delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal.
Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
Fabricate roofing components as needed to ensure proper fit and function.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during roofing tasks.
Perform heavy lifting as required when handling materials and equipment.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to complete projects efficiently.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
Requirements
Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights.
Knowledge of masonry techniques is an advantage.
Familiarity with plumbing systems can be beneficial for certain roofing projects.
