Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Tile Setter will ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standards, adhering to design specifications and safety regulations.

Duties

Interpret schematics and design plans to determine tile layout and installation requirements. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayment. Cut tiles using hand tools and power tools to fit around corners, edges, and fixtures. Install tiles on floors, walls, and ceilings with precision, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Perform masonry tasks as needed to prepare surfaces for tile application. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to specifications and standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Lift heavy materials as required during the installation process.

Experience

Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment relevant to tile installation. Familiarity with carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, and fabrication techniques is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during installations.
