Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and materials, with a strong understanding of building structures. This role involves working at heights and requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, tiles, and metal. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs. Fabricate roofing components as necessary to meet specific project requirements. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all roofing tasks. Perform masonry work as needed for roof installations or repairs. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or required maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working at heights. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on site to ensure project completion.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Ability to plumb roofs accurately for proper drainage. Strong skills in welding and fabricating roofing materials. Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
