Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs to ensure they are watertight and durable. The successful applicant will be comfortable working at heights and possess a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using a variety of materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles. Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications and requirements. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for roofing tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards. Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Engage in fabrication tasks as necessary to create custom roofing components. Assist in carpentry work related to roof structures, ensuring proper alignment and support. Apply knowledge of plumbing and masonry where relevant to enhance roof integrity.

Skills

Proficient in reading schematics for accurate project execution. Experience with welding techniques is advantageous. Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in roofing applications. Background in construction with a focus on roofing projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Familiarity with fabrication processes related to roofing materials. Basic carpentry skills for structural modifications as needed. Understanding of plumbing principles that may affect roofing systems. Knowledge of masonry techniques that can enhance roof durability. Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Friday: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm 39 hours per week (Full-Time)
