Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The ideal applicant will have experience with various construction tools and materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities



Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques in accordance with project specifications. Repair or replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute roofing projects. Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently. Utilise carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other construction skills as needed for specialised roofing applications. Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, metal sheets, and insulation materials. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards; maintain a clean and organised worksite. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications



Proven experience in roofing, construction, or related trades. Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and general construction practices is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physically fit for demanding tasks at heights. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to working at heights and handling hazardous materials. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail; able to work independently or as part of a team. Valid relevant certifications or licences are preferred but not essential.
