Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for building and repairing roofs, ensuring they are structurally sound and weatherproof.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications. Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for roof installation and repairs. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all roofing activities. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure proper integration of roofing systems. Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or areas needing repair. Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in masonry work as needed during roofing projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred. Ability to plumb structures accurately during installations. Familiarity with various roofing materials and techniques. Strong skills in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks. Experience in masonry is advantageous but not essential. Physical fitness is required for heavy lifting and prolonged standing. A valid driver's licence may be necessary for travel between job sites. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.

Pay: 17.25-18.50 per hour
