Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee and coordinate contractual agreements within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Roofing projects, with the ability to manage multiple contracts effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in construction, roofing, or related trades to utilise their technical knowledge while ensuring contractual compliance and project success. The Contract Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Duties

Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts from negotiation through to completion, ensuring all terms are adhered to. Collaborate with project teams to understand technical requirements, including schematics, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and roofing specifications. Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics related to construction projects. Oversee the procurement and utilisation of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment necessary for project execution. source / employ and Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers specialising in roofing. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all phases of work, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Monitor project progress against contractual obligations, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines. Maintain detailed records of contract modifications, change orders, and project documentation. Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to specifications. Resolve contractual disputes or issues that may arise during project execution promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Proven experience in contract management within the roofing trade is a must Strong knowledge of construction processes including roofing, Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other relevant machinery. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. Strong communication skills for liaising effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Ability to interpret technical specifications accurately and ensure compliance throughout projects. Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction management or related fields are preferred but not essential.
