We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves working on various roofing projects, assisting with general construction tasks, and supporting the installation and repair of roofing systems. The successful candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their skills within the construction industry. Previous experience in roofing or related trades is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on residential and commercial properties
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to support construction activities
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal sheets, or insulation materials
Support fabrication and carpentry tasks related to roofing projects
Assist with masonry, plumbing, or other related construction duties as required
Maintain a clean and organised worksite to ensure safety and efficiency
Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures at all times
Skills
Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings is desirable
Experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing or roofing is advantageous but not mandatory
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction work
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Physical fitness to work at heights and carry out manual tasks for extended periods
Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various construction environments
