Role Overview

We're looking for a hardworking and reliable

Roofing Labourer

to support our growing solar team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a skilled workforce. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in solar and renewable fields, including roofing, masonry, carpentry, and plumbing. You will be expected to work efficiently in a dynamic environment, adhering to safety standards and contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

Responsibilities

Assisting roofers with day-to-day tasks Carrying materials and keeping the site tidy Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively Perform heavy lifting and manual labour as required for construction or roofing projects Supporting the installation of solar panels and mounting systems Maintain a clean and safe work environment by clearing debris and ensuring safety procedures are followed Support the setup of scaffolding or temporary structures for various projects Follow instructions accurately to ensure project specifications are met

Experience

Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team Prior experience in construction, roofing, masonry or related fields is advantageous; training will be provided for suitable candidates Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Good organisational skills and attention to safety standards are essential for success in this role Working at heights experience essential
Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and be over the age of 21 for insurance purposes. No more than 3 points.

Annual salary for this role is 25,400, paid PAYE monthly, with 30 days holiday (including bank), long-service holiday incentives and our pension scheme.

This role will be field based, full time 40 hours, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm, with 30 minute lunch.

Flexibility towards the business needs is required along with Saturday working, on a rota basis (one in three), paid as overtime.
