Room Leader Full Time Qualified
Job Description
Our setting is seeking a Qualified Room leader to provide care and supervision in a variety of settings to support the physical, emotional and development needs of children. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining an environment that encourages children to reach their full potential. A passionate individual with a love for children and experience in a similar position will be encouraged to apply. They must be able to lead the room and support the Senior team where needed.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the ability to assess the needs of infants and toddlers and plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate practices for children in accordance with the setting policies.
Demonstrate effective communication skills with parents regarding child development, nutrition and behaviour.
Demonstrate the ability to assess children using observation and evaluation techniques.
Record observations in a log or journal.
Engage parents as partners in their child's development and education.
Demonstrate competency in personal safety skills for children engaged in child care activities.
Engage children in planning, implementation and evaluation of programming.
