Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Room Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents, as well as the capability to manage daily staff and nursery activities. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for early childhood development.

Duties

Provide attentive care to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with early years frameworks. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating this information with parents and guardians. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive nursery environment that supports teamwork and shared responsibilities. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is required. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues. A passion for nurturing children's growth and development through creative play and structured learning experiences is essential.
