The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Unit Leader to join our leadership team. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy, taking responsibility for leading a unit day to day and stepping up to support wider management when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, inspire, and support your room team with their training, development, and wellbeing. Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS. Be a key point of contact for parents, supporting children's settling-in and sharing progress updates. Report on unit performance, children's development, and staff training needs to the Manager/Deputy. Take on management duties such as show-arounds, staffing, and daily operations when needed. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment with high-quality resources.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification. Previous experience as a Practitioner or Room Leader with proven leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements. Excellent organisational, communication, and mentoring skills. Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to update).

Hours & Pay

Full-time or part-time opportunities available Salary: from 12.65 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
