ROOM LEADER/3RD IN CHARGE VACANCY

We are looking for a SENIOR NURSERY PRACTITIONER to join the team at Rosehill Playgroup.

We are looking for someone who is mature, experienced, dynamic, creative, focused on excellent standards of care, with a natural ability to motivate and inspire others by modelling high quality practice.

You will need to work as part of a team, taking a lead role and always be willing to go above and beyond for our children. You will hold a childcare qualification (L3 or above) and at least 2 years post-qualifying experience.

We are also looking for a staff member who....

Is genuine, with a warm smile that makes every child feel special.
Preferably has a little bit of quirkiness.
Is happy to sing and dance in front of anyone watching!
If requested by one of our little ones to be captain of their pirate ship, will be the best pirate captain they can be!
Is creative and loves bringing awe and wonder to the children's day.
Can distribute warm hugs, as and when required.
Possesses the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people. This is of the utmost importance.
Is comfortable entering public places on the way home from work, with unknown substances on their clothing.
Has the ability to pretend to eat playdough creations realistically. This is an essential requirement along with drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
Is prepared to have fun in the workplace. Laughter with our children is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
Loves being outside come rain or shine.
Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like it.

Ideally this position is for 40 hours per week, term time only, job share or part time may be an option for the right candidate/s.
