Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for nurturing young minds. This role requires experience working with children, as well as the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. The Room Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring compliance with childcare regulations, and fostering positive relationships with parents and children alike.

Duties

Manage the daily operations of the room, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children. Lead and support a team of childcare staff, providing guidance and training as necessary. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote early childhood development. Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as childcare policies and procedures. Organise activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and learning among children. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt programmes accordingly. Foster a positive team atmosphere through collaboration and open communication.

Requirements

Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting. Strong background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred. Experience working with children in a nursery environment is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to build rapport with children, parents, and staff members effectively. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes related to activities or outings. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
