Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Room Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties



Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development in line with early childhood education principles. Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times. Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's curiosity and confidence. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's development and behaviour. Support colleagues in maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating classroom environment. Assist with organising outings or excursions, including driving children when necessary. Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Experience



Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of early childhood education methodologies and child development stages. Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare environment is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience with children of diverse backgrounds and needs. Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate outings or transportation requirements. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who are passionate about fostering young children's growth and development through nurturing care and educational support.
