Job Description

We're looking for a Room Supervisor (maternity cover) to join our team at Princess of Wales Day Nursery. As a Room Supervisor, you will be at the heart of creating a nurturing, educational space for our children whilst leading a team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in leadership, embraces early years education, and is excited to contribute to a high-performing and joyful learning environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and create a warm, structured environment in your room Lead and support your team in delivering best practices and high standards of care Plan and implement engaging educational activities in line with EYFS and Estyn expectations Monitor and promote positive staff performance through mentoring and coaching Ensure compliance with CIW regulations and internal policies Maintain accurate documentation including observations, planning, and assessments Champion the nursery's values in parent partnerships and customer care Assist in onboarding, supporting, and training new staff members Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure quality and safety throughout the nursery

What We're Looking For

Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Early Years Education and Care Demonstrated leadership experience in a nursery or preschool setting Sound understanding of CIW and Estyn frameworks Confidence in mentoring others and solving challenges proactively A warm, enthusiastic personality with a true love for children and learning

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 41.25 per week
