The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various building and repair techniques, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Duties
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out roughcasting and roofing tasks.
Construct, repair, and maintain structures such as walls, roofs in accordance with project specifications.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, measuring, and marking before commencing work.
Mix mortar or concrete as needed for bricklaying and masonry tasks.
Operate equipment safely to join metal components where required.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a secure working environment.
Assist in the planning and organisation of materials for each project phase.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to high standards.
Experience
Proven experience in roofing in related construction trades.
Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as chisels, hammers, saws, and levels.
Experience working with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws.
Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to construction sites.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints is advantageous but not essential.
