We're now looking for a
reliable and experienced Route Delivery Driver
to join our Carlisle team.
The Role
As a Route Delivery Driver, you'll play a vital role in our operations, ensuring goods are delivered safely, on time, and with care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver parts along designated routes.
Operate primarily a
3.5t Van
, with occasional use of a
7.5t Lorry
(depending on consignments).
Load and unload goods, including large or awkward items, using a
tail-lift and pallet truck
.
Uphold company values of
reliability, responsibility, and teamwork
.
Problem-solve and work independently.
Shift Schedule
Two rotating routes on a rota basis:
Route 1:
- This shift consists of between 9 - 10 hours total duty time (shift runs Monday to Friday, starting between 17.00 and 18.00 hours depending on the time of the year)
Route 2:
- This shift consists of around 8 hours total duty time (shift runs Monday to Friday, starting between 23.00 and 00.00 hours)
Seasonal weekend work (May-Oct)
required on a rota basis.
Requirements
Valid
UK driver's licence
with at least
2 years driving experience
.
Minimum
2 years delivery driver experience
.
Valid CPC card
.
Strong time-management and reliability.
Ability to work methodically and independently.
Flexibility to adapt to route variations.
Applicants should be comfortable with regular lifting, carrying, and manual handling tasks.
Pay & Benefits
126.00 per shift
(based on a standard 9-hour day)
500 guaranteed Christmas bonus
every year (pro-rata)
Effective annual pay package:
Base pay (5 shifts/week): 32,700
+ Christmas bonus: 500 (pro-rota)
Total: 33,200 gross per year + any weekend work
Equivalent to an average of
14.00 per hour
(depending on shift length)
