We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service. This position is for a senior chef with a minimum experience of sous chef experience
Must be able to drive or commute as the role is between the old barn plassey (LL130SP) and the dog and pickle (LL120DN)
The celery is 33,000 and plus service charge which takes the salary to a minimum of 38,500 per year this also potential to increase
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Supposing the Head Chef of the kitchens in every possible way
Maintaining the high standards for periods of time when the Head Chef is not in the kitchen
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
Manage food production processes, including ordering supplies and inventory control
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Innovate menu items to keep offerings fresh and appealing to customers
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer expectations
Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development
Good understanding of culinary techniques across various cuisines
Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and serving customers is highly desirable
Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences
