We're looking for a
female Personal Assistant
(Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010) to join our friendly, supportive team in providing exceptional care to a child with cerebral palsy.

personal care, epilepsy management, manual handling, medication management, gastronomy and supporting therapeutic activities

We are currently recruiting for a PA to provide help and support to a young child with complex medical needs in association with cerebral palsy.
The role will involve assisting with personal care, postural management, moving and handling, administering medication and monitoring her complex needs. The role involves promoting development through multi-sensory play and meaningful activities. Full training will be provided, and supervision and support will be carried out by the case manager who is a Registered Health Professional. The PA will work closely with the child's therapy team and parents.
The client lives at home with her parents and two younger siblings. Support will be carried out in the child's own home. The role will involve taking her to and from school and to access community activities.

16.00 per hour weekdays
18.00 per hour weekends
Your Role Will Include
Supporting the client with
appointments, activities
, and social outings. (A
full driving licence
is essential.)
Supporting the client during
hydrotherapy sessions at home
, so confidence in water is a must.
Encouraging her
independence
while following her personalised
health and wellbeing plan
.
Helping her participate in
leisure, therapeutic, and social activities
, both at home and in the community.
Assisting with
educational and therapeutic programmes
, as directed by professionals.
Monitoring and reporting any significant changes in her
health or behaviour
to the team.
Ensuring she enjoys a balanced routine of activity and rest.

What You'll Need
A passion for
complex care
First Aid training
(recent qualifications preferred).
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
(desirable but not essential).
Basic IT skills for email and electronic records.
An
enhanced DBS check
(required for this role).
About the Employer
You will be employed directly by the client. However,
SSCM oversees all aspects of the client's care package
to ensure a high standard of care and team support.
