The role
This role sits within the MAG Group Finance function, and is responsible for managing Management Accounting activity across Group Services, ensuring the timely production of accurate and technically robust management accounts, in alignment with group finance service levels. Key responsibilities will includeo Assist in the month end close process, ensuring the ledgers are all closed to strict deadlines.o Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounts, calculate and post relevant journals to ensure the accounts are reflective of underlying financial performance.o Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.o Support the development of continuous improvement initiatives within the F&A team.
The role will include the following responsibilities

  • Assist a Finance Manager to lead the team.
  • Support month end close process.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all aspects of the divisional accounts.
  • Assist the Finance Manager to ensure all monthly reports are timely and accurate.
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately.
  • Assist with delivery of group service levels and support KPIs to internal and external customers.
  • Assist with provision of divisional accounts.
What will make you successful in the role?
We are looking for someone who is qualified, or at the point of qualification. You will have an extremely keen eye for detail, and be a whizz on excel. In addition, this person needs to be confident and comfortable presenting and working with senior stakeholders - meeting with the business to deliver the month end review is a vital part of the role. There is a clear succession path within MAG, and we are looking to hire someone with future leader potential as a result.
Finally we can offer hybrid working, 2 or 3 days in the office per 5 business days.
