Job description

We are looking for an experienced, qualified veterinary nurse to join our small, friendly team.

Your Responsibilities:

provide a friendly, professional and caring welcome to our clients and patients help the team answer the phone, book appointments, take payments and keep the practice clean and tidy confidently handle and restrain animals provide nursing care to hospitalised patients, including patient monitoring and health checking, feeding, grooming and walking animals administer treatments including injections, tablets, drips and blood transfusions perform diagnostic tests, e.g. blood sampling, urine analysis and x-rays monitor anaesthesia maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the practice communicate with pet owners, gaining their trust and reassuring them about their animal's treatment educate pet owners on animal health, including vaccinations, worming, flea prevention and appropriate nutrition support student veterinary nurses undertaking placements, clinical coaching work to the professional code of conduct. Our ideal candidate is diligent and caring, will be able to put the patient first but also provide an outstanding service to our clients.
Key Skills Require:

Must be registered with the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse

Job Type: Full or part time

Salary: 30,000.00 - 36,000 /year DOE

Hours 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday 4 day week or 9am to 5pm 5 day week occasional Saturday morning
