Job Purpose



To ensure that all staff, volunteers, and everyone who comes to the Foodbank and the Community Shop for help are treated with care and respect, including listening to their needs, not judging them. and signposting to further assistance appropriately

To support the Coordinator and Facilities and Stock Manager with administrative and practical functions to ensure the efficient running of the S2 Food Bank, Community Shop and the Debt and Benefit Support.

Responsibilities and Duties.



Food Bank



To assist at the front desk of the Food Bank, welcoming clients, reassuring clients who find their situation overwhelming, asking appropriate questions sensitively on a one-to-one basis.

To record all new referrals either self or professional, and inform clients of when and where to collect their parcels.

To maintain regular communication with referral agencies, responding to queries and issues and ensuring they understand the referral system.

To provide clients with appropriate information in relation to accessing the Food Bank and transitioning to the Community Shop.

To collate Food Bank statistics and data weekly for the Coordinator.

To update the register weekly.

To update case notes on a weekly basis and file appropriately.

To compose letters for clients when required.

To produce promotional material including leaflets and posters when required.

To oversee the paperwork associated with the Christmas period.

To assist the Facilities and Stock Manager with pulling out the Food Bank racks ready for volunteers to fill with stock before the Food Bank opens.

Finance



To manage the stationery and equipment budget.

To purchase stationery and equipment required to ensure the food bank and shop can function efficiently.

To ensure that all receipts, financial donations and Community Shop money are in place to be collected by Finance to enable proper accounting.

Miscellaneous



To be a named First Aider on site.

To work in the Community Shop when there is a shortage of staff and / or volunteers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15,340.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
