Job Description

A well-known organisation is looking to appoint a Senior S2P Business Analyst to take a leading role in shaping and supporting its SAP Ariba ecosystem. This position will oversee processes across procurement, supply chain and invoicing, while guiding a team of Business Analysts and functional specialists. The focus is on delivering measurable improvements, cost efficiencies and robust process governance across a wide portfolio of change initiatives.

The Role

This is a senior position within the central business solutions function, responsible for driving continuous improvement across the Source-to-Pay landscape. You'll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring S2P processes and systems evolve in line with operational needs and strategic priorities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Leadership & Programme Delivery

Lead reviews of business capability and shape the roadmap for systems and process enhancements. Take ownership of major project workstreams and end-to-end delivery on smaller initiatives. Provide day-to-day direction for Business Analysts and collaborate closely with internal teams and external delivery partners.

Business Analysis

Steer requirements gathering and convert complex business needs into structured documentation, functional specifications and test plans. Ensure all deliverables align with internal governance, project frameworks and compliance standards including SOX.

Process & Solution Design

Map, refine and document processes across the full S2P lifecycle. Identify opportunities for optimisation and lead the deployment of improved ways of working across the organisation.

Knowledge, Advisory & Community Leadership

Act as a senior subject-matter reference for S2P and procurement systems. Support capability uplift within the wider BA community through coaching, best-practice sharing and contribution to standards. Stay aware of industry developments and ensure relevant insights inform solution design.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone confident operating in a senior BA capacity with deep functional knowledge across procurement and the broader supply chain. You must be comfortable taking ownership, challenging assumptions and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Essential skills & experience:

Strong understanding of procurement and S2P processes from sourcing through to invoicing. Hands-on experience with

SAP Ariba

or equivalent procurement platforms. Familiarity with

SAP ECC

and/or

SAP S/4HANA

environments (no coding required, but must understand functional concepts). Experience managing teams or leading BA workstreams. Demonstrable experience across both Agile and Waterfall projects (5-8 years minimum). Solid grounding in business analysis methods, tools and documentation techniques. Exposure to service management, application support and supplier/vendor management programmes.
