Job Description

Torus Group is seeking a dedicated

Safeguarding Advisor

to play a key role in supporting the Operations Manager and ensuring the organisation remains fully compliant with current safeguarding and domestic abuse legislation, regulatory requirements and best-practice standards. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Group and with external stakeholders to promote a safe, responsive and well-informed safeguarding culture. You will also support the work of Torus' safeguarding subgroups, providing administrative assistance where needed, and contribute to the planning and delivery of awareness-raising initiatives including events, communications and staff briefings.

What You'll Be Doing:





Champion tenant and user voices, ensuring their views shape policies, procedures and service development. Promote best practice in safeguarding across the Group, supporting consistent implementation of policies and procedures. Support the work of safeguarding subgroups, including providing administrative assistance. Monitor safeguarding data and dashboards, preparing reports and papers for subcommittees, subgroups and partner agencies. Oversee internal safeguarding concerns, offering guidance to managers and colleagues on policy, procedure and case management. Represent Torus at multi-agency meetings, building strong partnerships and ensuring effective information sharing to safeguard adults, children and young people. Support colleague development through training and learning opportunities that build safeguarding and domestic abuse awareness, skills and competency. Contribute to planning and delivering safeguarding awareness initiatives, including events, communications and briefings. Help develop and strengthen Torus' Domestic Abuse Champion Network.

What We're Looking For:





Degree level education, or equivalent or demonstrable experience Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding and Domestic Abuse legislation and best practice and the ability to integrate into policy, procedures and processes Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to gain trust and confidence of internal and external stakeholders and partners Ability to engage with staff, peers, board members, tenants and external partners to build relationships based on honesty, trust, mutual respect and integrity to inspire confidence and respect.

Interview Process:





Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a presentation and competency-based interview. Interviews will take place w/c 8th December 2025
